Faculty & Staff

As faculty or staff member you too will benefit from students participating in Welcome Week and can play an integral role in this new initiative that will welcome new students to campus and assist in their personal and academic success.  Welcome Week will allow students to do the following before classes even begin:

  • Begin to build a sense of community
  • Assist students in their adjustment to the campus environment and enhance the capacity of students to lead and work among diverse populations
  • Develop meaningful relationships with students, faculty, staff and surrounding community
  • Learn about resources and opportunities available at the University

Ways you can be involved!

There are be many opportunities for faculty and staff to volunteer and welcome new students to campus during Welcome Week.  Some of these opportunities are listed below.  You can sign up for these opportunities by filling out the online form.

  • New Student Residence Hall Move-In (Tuesday, August 26 - Wednesday, August 27, 2008)
  • New Student Convocation (Wednesday, August 27, 2008)
  • Day of Service and Engagement (Sunday, August 31, 2008)
